(0-6 months) – 12 changes per day

(6-12 months) – 9 changes per day

(12+ months) – 6 changes per day

• Do I want cheapest or less work?
• cheapest = more work
• more expensive = less work

4 basic types:

• All-in-One (AIO) - describes a diaper that does not need a cover. It's just like a disposable diaper. The easiest diaper to use for anyone changing your baby.

• Pocket Diaper/All-in-Two (AI2) Like a cover with a pocket built in.  Inside the pocket you'll slide the absorbent layer (an insert, prefold, etc.)  Once the diaper is stuffed, it's like an all-in-one.  No extra cover is needed.

• Fitted Diaper - this is a diaper is diaper-shaped and has a closure, either snaps or velcro.  These do not have a waterproof layer built in so you'll need to use a cover.

• Prefolds - a flat diaper, similar to what our own parents used.  These are economical and absorbent but do require a cover.  Will need to be secured with cloth diaper pins, Snappi Cloth Diaper Fasteners, or wrapped around baby using cloth diaper wraps.

"Some children, like certain patches of ground, are rockier than others. Such children require parents who are willing to take more pains over them. IF a farmer has two patches of ground, one of rich topsoil and the other filled with rocks, he cannot treat the two patches of ground the same way. Discipline is corrective, unlike punishment. When a magistrate executes a criminal, this is a matter of retributive justice. He is not attempting to discipline the criminal; that is, he is not trying to make him any better. The execution is a matter of justice, simply punishment. But parents who discipline their children are trying to correct them. They discipline them on the same principles they apply when they put their children into the bathtub. If one child is filthy, he might have to spend more time in the tub. His brother, who did not get quite so grimy, will not be required to spend the same amount of time there 'in the interests of fairness.'
