Recipe: Pizza Bread

Pizza Bread

  • 3 c. white flour
  • 1/2 Tbl. yeast
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/8 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/8 c. sugar
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1 t. Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 c. pizza sauce
  • 2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • pizza topping of your choice
  1. Prepare dough by putting ingredients into a large bowl (or bread machine). Stir to combine; continue adding flour and knead mixture with hands to make a smooth, elastic dough. Knead 5 minutes. Cover and let dough rise for 1 hour in a lightly greased bowl.
  2. Divide dough into 2 portion. Roll each ball of dough into a rectangle.
  3. Spread about 1/4 c. pizza sauce on each section of dough.
  4. Sprinkle the diced pepperoni, cheeses and any other pizza toppings on top of the pizza sauce.
  5. Roll dough tightly, jelly-roll style, and pinch the seams shut.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
