Recipe: Mandarin Chicken

Mandarin Chicken

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts

Mandarin Sauce-
1/3 cup sugar
¼ cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
¼ teaspoon garlic
¼ teaspoon ginger
¼ cup water
4 teaspoons cornstarch

  1. Cook the chicken breasts, Heat the oil in a skillet over medium high heat. Add to the skillet and cook until brown on one side, 3-5 minutes. Then flip and cook until browned on the other side and cooked through, an additional 3-5 minutes. Cut into small strips. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl combine sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic and ginger. Pour into sauce pan. Heat the mixture until almost at a boil. Combine cornstarch and water. Once the sauce starts to boil add the cornstarch mixture and stir until thickened.
  3. Add cooked chicken to the pan and coat with the sauce. Simmer until heated thoroughly.
